Kent Police officers, on a routine patrol, have arrested a man on suspicion of drug offences in Sittingbourne.
Police were patrolling on Monday (17th September) in Rectory Road when at around 6.00pm a vehicle came to their attention. Officers believed the vehicle may have been involved in drug dealing and carried out a search.
Inside the car officers found drugs, cash, scales and plastic bags. Further searches of the driver's home address also revealed more cash, a number of mobile phones and an amount of cannabis.
A 36-year-old man from Sittingbourne was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.
He remains in police custody at this time, while enquiries continue.
