Officers investigating a serious collision on the M20 in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 18th August) have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Kent Police were called at 2.00am following a collision involving a black Vauxhall Corsa and a lorry, between Junctions 7 and 6 London-bound.

The Kent Fire And Rescue Service (KFRS) were called to an accident between junctions 5 (A249 Sittingbourne) and 6 (A251 Ashford/Faversham) of the M2 shortly after 12 noon today.

Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car in order to release a woman who was trapped by her injuries inside.
