Detectives Urgently Seek Victim Of Assault

Officers investigating an incident in Sittingbourne, where a teenage boy was struck by a car, are appealing for the victim to contact them urgently.

Patrols were called to Bristol Close in Milton Regis following reports of the collision at around 9pm on last night (Friday 5th July). It is alleged the driver then got out of his vehicle and assaulted the victim who fled the scene. Constables arrested a 46-year-old local man on suspicion of assault and he was taken into custody. The suspect was later bailed to return to the police station, pending further investigation.

Kent Police investigators have charged a woman with attempted murder following an allegation a pedestrian was deliberately struck by a vehicle near Sittingbourne.

The incident involved a white Volkswagen Golf and happened at the Bobbing Roundabout on the A249 at 5.22am on Friday (31st May).

Investigators are appealing for information following a collision involving a police vehicle in Teynham, near Sittingbourne over the weekend.

At 12.37am on Sunday (26th May), an officer driving a marked patrol car was responding to an urgent call with the vehicle’s sirens sounding and blue lights illuminated, when it was involved in a collision with a white Ford Focus on the A2 London Road.

Witnesses Sought To Serious Assault In Teynham

A teenage suspect has appeared in court after a woman was injured during a serious assault in Teynham.

The victim had walked down Conyer Road and was on a footpath near St Mary’s Church at around 1.30pm on Wednesday 22nd May, when a person approached her from behind.

It is reported she was pushed to the ground where she was punched and stamped upon. The victim, who is in her 50s, subsequently received treatment at hospital and since been discharged.

Local Man Jailed For Fatal Machete Attack

A 19-year-old man who used a machete to fatally injure his mother’s partner has been jailed for 10 years.

In the early hours of Wednesday 21st December 2022, David Perry was violently assaulted by Rohan Daniels after the pair had argued over missing tobacco at the family home in Medway Close, Sittingbourne.

Following the incident, Daniels, who was 18 at the time, fled the property leaving his victim with multiple stab wounds. The emergency services were called to the house where Mr Perry, aged 40, was confirmed deceased.

Kent Police investigators have issued a CCTV image after multiple power tools were reported stolen near Sittingbourne.

The incident happened at Axminster Tools on the Sheppey Way in Bobbing between 9.30am and 9.40am on Friday (5th April)

It is alleged a group of men entered the premises and left without paying for several cordless drills, sanders and other items worth more than £7,000. Officers have been investigating this incident are now able to issue an image of three men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Stabbing - Boy, 12, Appears Before Magistrates’ Court

A 12-year-old boy has appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court this afternoon (Monday 25th March) charged with the attempted murder of a 15-year-old girl, who was stabbed in the abdomen on Adelaide Drive on Friday (22nd March) afternoon.

The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared in front of District Judge William Nelson, who sent the case to Maidstone Crown Court to be dealt with. The boy is expected to appear there for a preliminary hearing on Monday 22nd April  and was remanded in custody at a youth detention facility until then but could apply for bail again.

Police Appeal Following Schoolgirl Stabbing

Witnesses are being sought after a teenager was seriously assaulted in Sittingbourne yesterday (Friday 22nd March) afternoon.

Kent Police were called at around 3.55pm following a report of an assault on Adelaide Drive, Sittingbourne.

Officers attended the scene, with South East Coast Ambulance Service, and a teenage girl was taken to a London hospital with injuries consistent with a stab wound. She remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.

Cash Found Hidden In Shoebox During Drug Search

A shoebox containing £30,000 has been discovered by officers responding to a report of antisocial behaviour in Sittingbourne.

Kent Police were called at around 5.40pm on Monday (5th March) to a report that four people were near St Giles Church in Church Road, Tonge, where they were smoking cannabis.

Local officers attended and the men were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act. A 22-year-old man was found in possession of a large quantity of cash, a mobile phone and cannabis.
