With just six days to go until the General Election, pollsters Electoral Calculus’ new survey of 20,000 people (across Kent) suggests the Conservatives are still facing a loss in the Sittingbourne and Sheppey Constituency.

Labour is set to win 12 constituencies in the county with the Conservatives taking only 6.

Our local constituencies, both Sittingbourne & Sheppey and Faversham & Mid Kent are both set to be Labour gains on Thursday (4th July).

The latest Office Of National Statistic (ONS) figures for Kent have been released and show that the county has suffered at least 4,254 coronavirus cases, with a further 706 cases recorded in the Medway unitary authority area.

Locally here in Swale the rate of coronavirus cases per 100,000 people is 198.0 compared to the worse rate in the county in Ashford which was recorded as 492.7.

Update from Highways England:

A further survey will be carried out on Tuesday 26th January.

We expect to receive a report next Friday 29th January in respect of all the investigations that have been carried out to determine what repairs are necessary. We will then set a timeframe which will take into account what work is required and how long the work will take.

No work will be taking place at the weekend. We will review the situation at the end of next week and I'll provide you with a further update.
