Two Chalkwell Buses have been damaged after been attacked on Sonora Way in The Meads development in Sittingbourne.

The 334 service, between Sittingbourne and Sheerness, was attacked at around 6pm yesterday (Monday 17th June) with the bus company confirming that a similar incident happened last week in the same area.

Local Sittingbourne-based bus company, Chalkwell, have announced that they will be taking over two local bus routes from Arriva next month.

The two routes serve the Murston, Kemsley and Milton Regis areas with a service to and from the Sittingbourne Bus Hub in the centre of town.

Following government advice to only travel if your journey is essential local bus companies have revised timetables across the network, though key routes will continue to operate to ensure customers can access critical services and key workers are able to travel.

For the vast majority of local services these changes came into effect from yesterday (Monday 30th March) and affect the following routes:-

333 - Sittingbourne to Faversham
via Bapchild, Teynham and Ospringe

Sittingbourne-based Chalkwell have announced that fares for bus travellers of all ages within Swale are to be slashed by up to a third.

At the same time, the local operator will be launching two additional buses which have been refurbished at a total cost of over £50k.
