Suspected Stolen Cigarettes Seized in Sittingbourne

Thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes, suspected to be stolen, have been seized following a police pursuit in Sittingbourne.

Officers recovered the tobacco last Thursday (9th September) after witnessing a van drive past them on the wrong side of the road near the A2 at around 2.15pm.

Patrols requested the vehicle to stop however it failed to do so. A short pursuit then took place, before the driver and passenger decamped the vehicle.

Officers located a man at Sittingbourne Train Station, believed to be the driver of the car, and he was arrested.

Ink Cartridges Stolen From Faversham Supermarket

Kent Police have confirmed that theft charges have been authorised against a man who is alleged to have stolen ink cartridges worth around £1,500 from a supermarket in Faversham.

Albert Ramsden is accused of targeting the business, in Bysing Wood Road, on three occasions between Monday 16th and Wednesday 18th November.

On each occasion, a quantity of printer cartridges is said to have been taken.

The 19-year-old, of Crown Quay Lane in Sittingbourne, was arrested on suspicion of the offences by officers from the Kent Special Constabulary on Friday (20th November).

Dogs Stolen During Sittingbourne Burglary

Kent Police are appealing for information after a dog and her litter of puppies were reported stolen during a burglary last week.

It was reported that between 2.45pm and 3.30pm on last Thursday (4th May) a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and her four puppies were stolen from a house in Oak Road, Murston.
The puppies are reported to be about two weeks old, three are brown and one is black.

Police Appeal After £3,300 Ring Stolen From Train

British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for information after a platinum diamond wedding band valued at £3,300 was stolen from the 6.57am Canterbury East to Faversham train on Wednesday 27th July.

A woman took off her ring to moisturise her hands leaving it on a train seat next to her. After disembarking the train at Faversham she returned to her seat with train staff but the ring could not be found.

Police are appealing for information from people who may recognise the man in the CCTV image as he may have information which could help with their investigation.

Newly Installed Defibrillator Stolen From Fire Station

Last week, between Monday 3rd and Sunday 9th of August, a newly installed Defibrillator was stolen from a Kent Fire and Rescue vehicle at the Sittingbourne Fire Station on St Michaels Road.
